Readout is currently in beta and designed to be simple. These terms cover what to expect when using it.
By downloading or using Readout, you agree to these terms.
Readout is a macOS app currently in beta. It reads local files (git repos, config, dependency manifests, Claude Code and Codex artifacts) to display a developer dashboard. It only modifies files when you explicitly initiate and approve an action.
Readout may offer AI-assisted features, like Readout AssistantA built-in chat that can answer questions about your repos, sessions, and dev environment.. These require an API key that you provide and are used at your discretion. We don't supply or manage API keys. Usage of AI providers is subject to their own terms.
Readout is provided as-isWithout warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.. It's beta software and may contain bugs or behave unexpectedly. We're not liable for damages arising from its use, including data loss or interruption of work.
Readout may check for and prompt you to install updates. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance. The date above reflects the latest revision.
